Living room
The television was the problem and the solution. Instead of hanging it on a white wall and hoping nobody looked, we built the whole wall as one piece: vertical slats in a dark stained wood, a recessed channel of light around the screen so it does not sit in a black hole at night, and a low console that hides every cable and box. The sofa was drawn to the depth of the room so the walkway to the balcony stays clear.
